1. Overview
Neutenx ("we," "us," or "our") operates https://neutenx.com/, a website offering free financial calculators (mortgage, loan, savings, and related tools). This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use the site, how it's used, and the choices you have.
We built these calculators to work without requiring an account or your personal data, and we've kept that principle in how the site is built — most of what's below concerns optional features (accounts, saved results) and standard website operation (advertising, contact forms), not the calculators themselves.
2. How the calculators work
Every calculator on this site runs entirely in your browser. The numbers you type in — loan amount, interest rate, income, and so on — are used to compute a result on your device and are not transmitted to our servers unless you choose to save the result to an account you're logged into (see below). We don't see or store your calculator inputs simply by you using a calculator.
3. Account data & local storage
If you choose to create an account, we collect the information you provide: name, email address, country, phone number, password, preferred currency, and any calculations you choose to save.
This account data is currently stored using your browser's local storage, tied to the browser and device you signed up on. It is not stored in a central server database. Practically, this means:
- Your account data stays on the device/browser where you created it, and won't automatically appear if you log in from a different device or browser.
- Clearing your browser's site data (cache/storage) will remove your saved account and calculations.
- We do not sell, rent, or share this information with third parties for marketing purposes.
If in the future we move account storage to a server-based system, we will update this policy to describe how that data is secured and where it's stored.
4. Cookies & advertising
This site may display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.
- You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info.
- Google's use of advertising cookies is governed by Google's own Partner Sites policy.
Where required (for example, for visitors in the EU/UK), we will request your consent before loading advertising cookies, and you can withdraw that consent at any time via the cookie banner or your browser settings.
5. Contact form
If you use the contact form, the name, email address, and message you submit are sent directly to our team's email inbox so we can respond to you. We use this information only to reply to your inquiry and don't add you to a marketing list without your separate consent.
6. Other third-party services
We may use standard website services such as analytics tools (to understand aggregate traffic patterns) and hosting/CDN providers (to deliver the site reliably). These providers may process technical data like IP address, browser type, and pages visited, generally in an aggregated or pseudonymized form, under their own privacy policies.
7. Data retention & deletion
Since account data lives in your browser's local storage, you can delete it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this domain, or by using the account deletion / data removal options available in your Account settings, where provided. Contact form emails are retained in our inbox for as long as needed to handle your inquiry and for reasonable record-keeping afterward.
To request deletion of any data we hold about you (for example, a contact form submission), email us using the details below.
8. Children's privacy
This site is not directed to children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing (such as personalized advertising). Because most account data is stored locally in your browser rather than on our servers, you can exercise many of these rights directly by clearing your browser data or using in-app account controls. For anything else — such as contact form submissions — email us using the details below and we'll respond within a reasonable timeframe.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
